The Washington State House of Representatives convene for floor debate, Feb. 28, 2023.

Leonard Christian, senator from the 4th Legislative District, grew up in the Spokane area that he serves. He married his high school sweetheart, Rima, just nine days after graduation from Ferris High School and joined the Air Force two weeks later. After a distinguished career as an aircraft mechanic, shop chief, recruiter, and security manager, he retired from military service in 2005 and returned to Spokane Valley to start a second career in real estate. Representative Christian earned his bachelor’s degree from Embry Riddle University and went on to obtain a master’s degree in business administration from Webster University.

Christian has served on the Spokane County GOP board as a district leader. His volunteer work in the community includes teaching aircraft mechanics at Moody Bible in Spokane and serving as a search and rescue pilot for Civil Air Patrol. When he finds free time, he enjoys flying and taking walks with his wife of 40 years. They have two children and three grandchildren.

Sen. Christian is honored to serve the citizens of the 4th Legislative District.
